The ISDN resource record is an experimental extension of the Domain Name of system and by RFC 1183 from the year 1990 is defined. A goal of this extension is the integration of the telephone network into the information infrastructure of the Internets.
By this resource record is assigned to a DNS name a ISDN number. The ISDN number begins with the land identification without prominent zeros.
